Chad & Life Insurance
Life insurance for people travelling to Chad might need to be placed with a specific insurer to make sure that you get the best terms possible.
To check your life insurance options we will ask:
- When are you travelling to Chad?
- Where are you travelling to in Chad?
- How will you travel to Chad?
Most insurers will unfortunately decline applications for life insurance if you are travelling to Chad for more than a week for work, or more than 30 days for a holiday or volunteer work. Specialist insurers might be able to consider your application but this will be highly dependent upon where you are travelling to in Chad.
Life insurance with specialist insurers can work really well for some people. However, it is a good idea to be prepared that the life insurance is not going to be particularly cheap. You might even find that some insurers offer you life insurance, but there is an exclusion for any claims that relate to your travel and stay within Chad.
Whilst it is not ideal some people may choose to delay applying for their life insurance, until they have returned from their visit to Chad. Your past travel is often asked about within life insurance applications and it could still influence your options.
Our award winning advisers are here to give you peace of mind with the right life insurance policy, so that if the worst happens, your loved ones will be taken care of.
British citizens who have moved abroad can often still access life insurance and critical illness cover in the UK. There are specific rules that you must follow to be eligible for new life insurance and critical illness policies, and we are here to strip out the jargon and get you the cover that you need.
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Similarly to life insurance, critical illness cover is also unlikely to be available whilst you are planning on travelling to Chad. Unlike life insurance though, there are no particular options available with specialist insurers for you to look at.
There are some policies that you might see that offer alternatives that cover you for cancer only, or potentially significant illness that is caused by accidents. Whilst these are quite simple and straightforward to arrange, they often have specific exclusions regarding claims in what are considered to be high risk situations.
Our expert advisers are trained to find the critical illness policy that matches you and your needs, so that if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you can focus upon you rather than worrying about money.
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Income protection for people travelling to Chad might need to be placed with a specialist insurer who can consider your application. This is most likely if you are going to be there for more than 30 days at a time, or frequently in a year.
The insurer will want to know if your travel is related to your occupation and they may need your exact destination.
Protecting your income is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your financial future and our award winning advisers are here to sort it for you.
