Rope Access Technicians & Life Insurance
When you work at heights there is a huge amount of safety precautions and training that you need to follow. Insurers are very aware of this, but, no matter what if something goes wrong with the safety equipment you might take a pretty long fall.
Your options for life insurance could range from normal pricing through to higher premiums, depending upon your specific work. To find out the best life insurance for you our advisers will ask you:
- What is your occupation?
- What industry do you work in?
- What is the usual height that you work at?
- What is the maximum height that you work at?
- How often do you work at this maximum height?
If you usually work at heights under 40 feet (12 metres) then life insurance will generally be available at standard terms.
If you regularly work at heights above 40 feet it will be essential to be picky about the insurer you apply to. Some insurers might increase your life insurance premiums due to your work, but not all will.
Our award winning advisers are here to give you peace of mind with the right life insurance policy, so that if the worst happens, your loved ones will be taken care of.
If you are an offshore worker the insurer will also want to know how long you are out of the country and the countries that you travel to. Please see our dedicated offshore workers page.
Rope Access Technicians & Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover for rope access technicians can be available and the height that you work at will determine the right insurer for you.
You may find that a certain aspect of the policy called Total Permanent Disability (TPD) is excluded from the policy claims set due to your occupation. Critical illness policies usually offer at least 60 claimable situations, and whilst having one excluded will not feel great, there are still many times that the policy can pay out.
Our expert advisers are trained to find the critical illness policy that matches you and your needs, so that if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you can focus upon you rather than worrying about money.
Rope Access Technicians & Income Protection
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
When you apply for an income protection policy as a rope access technician you will need to pick your insurer carefully.
Some insurers are excellent for blue collar workers and you can often see a huge difference in price between what they offer compared to others.
Protecting your income is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your financial future and our award winning advisers are here to sort it for you.
