Cleaners & Life Insurance
As a cleaner you are often on the go, being super active throughout the day. This is a big positive when it comes to things like life insurance and you should be able to get life insurance at normal terms.
However, there are lots of different cleaning duties and industries that can be worked in.
To check your best options for life insurance we will ask you:
- What kind of cleaning work do you do?
- Do you work within the UK?
The type of cleaning that you do can have a big influence upon which insurer will be the best option for you. You will tend to find that your job duties are seen as absolutely fine by the insurers and no issues at all, or they see it as quite risky and more specialist insurers are right for you.
Life insurance is often offered with an add on called waiver of premium. It’s quite likely that the insurer will not offer you this extra, due to your occupation.
Our advisers are here to help you find the right insurer to match your circumstances, to get you the best terms possible.
Cleaners & Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover should be available to you at normal terms. However, being a cleaner is actually seen as quite a high risk job and you might find that the claimable condition – Total Permanent Disability – is not offered to you due to your occupation. This claimable condition is very difficult to claim on, so whilst it might not feel great that it isn’t available, you are still covered for all of the other conditions that are far more likely to occur.
Our expert advisers will find the right critical illness policy to match your work.
Cleaners & Income Protection
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Income protection is a really interesting product to arrange for a cleaner, as your occupation is seen as quite high risk for making a claim on this product. This means that it is absolutely essential to research across the insurers to find the right one for you. Some insurers will offer you income protection without a premium increase due to your role, others automatically increase the premiums quite a lot due to your occupation. Research is key!
Our advisers recommend income protection for people every day and we will be able to let you know exactly what you can have. Get in touch today for a no obligation quotation.
