Double Celebration at the COVER Excellence Awards 2020

It was a double celebration at the virtual COVER Magazine Excellence Awards 2020, as Cura won Best Specialist Intermediary and Managing Director Alan Knowles took the illustrious title of Insurance Person of the Year.

Spanning protection, life and health insurance advice firms and providers across 27 different categories, the awards champion company and individual achievements and innovations, over what has been a very challenging year for all.

The judges said of Cura:
“This winner truly is a leading specialist in it’s field, with it’s unfaded dedication to improving access to insurance for those with pre-existing medical conditions, it’s inclusive focus on quirky lives and for constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible when it comes to staff training and considerate customer care in the protection advice market.”

The final award of the virtual ceremony was for Insurance Person of the Year, this really is a huge honour to be presented with this title, the shortlist was full of incredible people all working hard to make positive change within the protection insurance space.

The judges commented:
“He’s worked tirelessly to promote the importance of inclusive protection distribution, playing an instrumental role in pretty much every important industry development over the past 12 months.”

As well as being Managing Director of Cura and a specialist protection insurance adviser within the company, Alan also Chairs the Protection Distribution Group, is Executive of the Income Protection Task Force and a founding member of the Access to Insurance Working Group.
