Peru & Life Insurance
Peru is a must do destination for history buffs, with Machu Picchu topping many travel bucket lists. Home to the Amazon rainforest too, Peru is also a key location for wildlife enthusiasts.
For people travelling to Peru life insurance can often be offered at normal rates for a short term trip. This means trips that are less than 30 days for a holiday, or a week or less for work.
To check your life insurance options we will ask:
- When will you visit Peru?
- How long is your trip to Peru?
- Are you going to Peru for a holiday or for work?
If you have to travel to Peru multiple times per year or for a longer trip, your life insurance may be offered at non-standard terms. This usually means a premium increase.
Insurers often watch political, social and environmental factors that are at play in a country and at the moment some parts of Peru are seen as riskier to travel to.
Our award winning advisers are here to give you peace of mind with the right life insurance policy, so that if the worst happens, your loved ones will be taken care of.
British citizens who have moved abroad can often still access life insurance and critical illness cover in the UK. There are specific rules that you must follow to be eligible for new life insurance and critical illness policies, and we are here to strip out the jargon and get you the cover that you need.
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover for people travelling to Peru will be treated in a similar way to a life insurance application. If you have a short holiday it is possible that normal terms could be available to you with some insurers.
If you visit Peru regularly and/ or stay in Peru for over 30 days at a time, your insurer may offer you critical illness cover at normal terms, non-standard terms or postpone your application until you return to the UK.
Our expert advisers are trained to find the critical illness policy that matches you and your needs, so that if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you can focus upon you rather than worrying about money.
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Income protection can be available at normal terms when travelling to Peru. This depends on the purpose of your stay and the time you will spend in Peru.
With income protection insurers have strict eligibility criteria, which can mean that longer trips outside of the UK can lead to postponements until you come back.
Protecting your income is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your financial future and our award winning advisers are here to sort it for you.
