Namibia & Life Insurance
Namibia is a country in Africa that draws travelers interested in getting right into the heart of nature. With stunning landscapes and safaris to experience the incredible wildlife, it is a perfect place for people who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of more popular destinations.
At the moment Namibia is not seen as a particularly risky country to visit, however, you can find that there can be some extra questions if you are travelling to places that border other countries if they are more risky.
To check your life insurance options we will ask:
- When are you travelling to Namibia?
- How long will you be in Namibia for?
- Are you travelling to Namibia for work or a holiday?
You may be able to arrange life insurance at normal terms if you are travelling to Namibia for less than 30 days for a holiday, or less than a week for work. Longer trips than this can lead some insurers to increase your life insurance premiums, or potentially delay offering you cover until you return to the UK.
Our award winning advisers are here to give you peace of mind with the right life insurance policy, so that if the worst happens, your loved ones will be taken care of.
British citizens who have moved abroad can often still access life insurance and critical illness cover in the UK. There are specific rules that you must follow to be eligible for new life insurance and critical illness policies, and we are here to strip out the jargon and get you the cover that you need.
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover should be available to you if you are visiting Namibia for a short trip. You might find that the amount of time you spend in Namibia could mean that UK insurers are unable to offer you critical illness cover, at which point we can try international providers for you.
Our expert advisers are trained to find the critical illness policy that matches you and your needs, so that if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you can focus upon you rather than worrying about money.
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Short trips to Namibia should cause no issues for you to arrange income protection cover.
Income protection can be quite strict in terms of travel outside of the UK and the insurer viewing you as UK resident or not. If you are planning a holiday of more than 30 days, or a work trip of more than a week to Namibia, it may be that an international income protection policy is best for you.
Protecting your income is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your financial future and our award winning advisers are here to sort it for you.
