Belgium & Life Insurance
Belgium is a beautiful country full of history and culture. I have been a couple of times and had an incredible time, especially at the Christmas markets.
Belgium is seen as a low risk country and you should be able to get life insurance at normal terms, if you are planning a short holiday or work trip there.
To check your life insurance options we will ask:
- How long will you be staying in Belgium for?
- Are you going to Belgium for work or a holiday?
- When will you be travelling to Belgium?
Holidays of less an than 30 days and work trips of less than a week, shouldn’t have any influence on the life insurance terms that you are offered. Longer stays in Belgium could result in higher premiums, or insurers being unable to offer you life insurance.
Not to worry, we have international providers that we can arrange your life insurance with.
Our award winning advisers are here to give you peace of mind with the right life insurance policy, so that if the worst happens, your loved ones will be taken care of.
British citizens who have moved abroad can often still access life insurance and critical illness cover in the UK. There are specific rules that you must follow to be eligible for new life insurance and critical illness policies, and we are here to strip out the jargon and get you the cover that you need.
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover should be available to you at standard rates, if you are going to Belgium for a short trip.
Our expert advisers are trained to find the critical illness policy that matches you and your needs, so that if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you can focus upon you rather than worrying about money.
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Travelling to Belgium for a holiday of less than 30 days or less than a week for work, shouldn’t be an issue when you arrange income protection insurance. Trips that last longer than this can make things trickier, but there are international insurers that can be used if options in the UK aren’t right.
Protecting your income is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your financial future and our award winning advisers are here to sort it for you.

Review by Sarah on 8th July 2026
“Excellent service Highly recommend. I received the phone call at scheduled time, member of staff was very professional, supportive, friendly and helpful. I was reassured that the policy I was taking out was the best option with guidance from the Net Worth Adviser with documentation readily available prior to the phone call taking place. I would seek out other insurances available to me when the time was right with Cura. I had emails promptly providing relevant information and attached documents followed up by Administrator. Very impressed and confident I had the best customer service and would recommend Cura to others!” - 5 ★★★★★
